If you are working on a Windows Server 2008 machine, either as an administrator or developer, you will probably need to switch off Internet Explorer’s Enhanced Security mode. The Enhanced Security mode is quite annoying, not letting you open most Web sites.
Here is how you can disable it:
1. Go to the Server Manager
2. Locate the Security Information section
3. On the top right corner click on “Configure IE ESC”
4. I would recommend to switch it off for the administrators only

I think i should say thank you at least.
I am really grateful for this pose 🙂
Ah hah! Why do they have to move everything everytime they release a new product? These “easier” things are a pain in the ace when you’re already used to something! 🙂
Ahh ! Thanks for sharing ! Nice !
Great…We got rid of the nagging enhanced security. Thanks a ton.

This makes my life simple on windows!!!!
Thanks!! Helped me too.
This was a great help. I went thru every registry key etc. r a while I was contemplating reinstalling Server 08 in case I had missed something in the installation. Now I will search for help on getting my cpu utilisation down from 80% (all 4 cores) only 10mins after bootup and running nothing but server manager.
Thanks !! you saved me a lot of further agravations 😉 I was going crazy with the IE restrictions ….

I hate this feature! it blocks Microsoft sites. If they opened MS sites, I could deal with it. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you very much. I wasted last two days of my life trying to fix IE. I don’t understand the point of adding to much security, that you can not browse sites properly – and still end up with traditional windows crash :p.
Thanks again!
Thanks!! Helped me too…
Thanks fot share!
OMG. Thank you. I love that these tips stay to keep on helping when needed!
Thanks for the post. If Microsoft HAS to change everything with each new release, why can’t they buy a MAC and copy how simple they make everything.
Geez…. I’ve been working with Microsoft for over 10 years and I hate that I have to GOOGLE (not BING) things I knew how to do in previous releases just to get my job done. As usual, poorly done Microsoft. Poorly done.
