As it has been announced on the official Gmail blog, a Tasks (To-Do) list has been added on the lab section of Gmail.
Enabling the Tasks list
If you would like to include Tasks on your Gmail interface, go to:
Settings -> Labs -> Tasks -> Enable, scroll down and click on on “Save Changes”.
Accessing the Tasks list
Right underneath the “Contacts” link, you should now have a “Tasks” link.
Clicking on it will open a small window on the same screen, similar to the Chat window.
Adding a new task
Click on the plus (+) sign to add a new task.
You can a short description, and even add some details, like a date or note.
There are some nice options to move/indent your tasks, or even group them in lists.
Upon task completion, just place a tick in front of the task.
Creating a task from an email message
Something really cool is that you can turn every email message into a task.
Just click on More Actions -> Add to Tasks
For people who love maintaining To-Do lists, Tasks is a pretty useful addition!
