How to add an RSS Feed on your iGoogle Homepage

July 1, 2007 by decoding

Here is a simple guide to adding an RSS Feed on your personalized iGoogle Homepage.

If you are not familiar with iGoogle, I suggest you have a look first at the following links:
iGoogle – Wikipedia
iGoogle – Google’s Help

For this example we are going to use the “Decoding the Web” RSS Feed.

Step 1:

Log-in iGoogle.

Step 2:

Click on “Add stuff”. (screenshot)

Step 3:

Click on “Add by URL”. (screenshot)

Step 4:

Insert the RSS Feed URL, (for example: http://decoding.wordpress.com/feed/).
Click on “Add”. (screenshot)

Step 5:

Return to the iGoogle Homepage, you should now be able to see the new Gadget.
Click on the top-right small arrow, and then on “Edit settings”.
Select how many items you want it to display, and “Save”. (screenshot)

That’s it, enjoy!
